Every other Thursday, Clancy will be at a local coffee shop with a business expert and will host a casual round table discussion on an entrepreneurial topic. Tom Briscoe

Tom Briscoe is an Registered Patent Attorney and IP strategist at Kunzler Bean & Adamson with experience in patent strategy, patent searches, patent drafting, patent prosecution patent infringement opinions, patent invalidity opinions, inter partes and ex parte post grant proceedings, and patent licensing. Mr. Briscoe helps clients both protect and project the value of their innovations by treating patents and other IP as assets for business growth.

When working with inventors and companies, Tom draws upon more than two decades of high-tech R&D and strategy experience in a wide range of product areas including graphics workstations, industrial data loggers, embedded memories for system-on-a-chip, medical and scientific instrumentation at various size companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Campbell Scientific, LSI Logic, Dako and Agilent Technologies. 

Tom graduated cum laude from the J Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University. He earned BSEE and MSEE degrees at Utah State University and an Executive MBA at University of Denver.  Tom is licensed in the state of Utah and registered with the USPTO.

In addition to his passionate interest in innovation and “IP for growth,” Tom loves traveling and conversing in various languages including Danish, Spanish, and Portuguese and has presented on various intellectual property and technology topics in Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Russia, Germany, Brazil, and the US. He also enjoys road cycling and going on outdoor adventures with his family

Clancy was an officer in the U.S. Army and then transitioned to corporate America, where she was often the only woman at the table. She realized women need a better understanding of their strengths and how to leverage them to become leaders. Later she started her own coaching business. Clancy joined the WBCUtah team where she continues to help women live their best lives, both professionally and personally.
