Kasey Ring is the president and founder of Upward Personal Finance (UPF). She established the firm to provide a much-needed financial coaching resource for women. While working with high-net-worth clients for years as a financial adviser and private banker, it became clear to Kasey that those who need the most financial help are not getting it and those with big balances and portfolios have several advisers and institutions begging for their business. Very few financial institutions are set up to provide services from the female perspective. Upward Personal Finance was born from the idea that women have unique needs when it comes to understanding and managing money. UPF aims to help women starting out, starting over, or those who are well on their way but need a little extra guidance. Kasey is a graduate of San Diego State University and a 24-year resident of Utah. She lives with her husband of 20 years, her two growing and active boys, and a feisty pug named Shaka. She enjoys skiing, hiking, cooking and spending time at her family's lake cabin in Idaho. Most of all, she enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for personal finance with other women.
