The presentation will focus on the financial advantages of starting and running your own business. We will touch on things like the type of entity to establish for your business, how to utilize business expenses to your greatest advantage, and even how to legally pay your kids out of your business.

Meet Our Presenters
Weston Adams


 

Weston Adams was born and raised in Cedar City, Utah, where he graduated from Canyon View High School. Upon graduation, he spent one year traveling the state and country as the Utah FFA Association Vice President. Weston has been heavily involved in the local community throughout his life.

 

Weston is a graduate of Southern Utah University with two bachelor's degrees in Finance & Marketing. He is a financial advisor in Cedar City, where he plans to continue to grow his clientele. Weston serves clients with investment management, life insurance, and other financial products. Some of his hobbies include watersports, hiking, golf, riding four-wheelers, and horseback riding.
David Harris


 

David Harris received his BA degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA degree from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. He worked for several years with the Franklin Covey Company, where he was involved in marketing, custom training coordination, and intranet development and management. Mr. Harris also worked with Raytheon Corporation's aircraft division with the Human Resources team and has experience in other sales and marketing positions.

 

His studies have centered on Finance, as well as Asian culture and languages. Major projects have included an evaluation of the telecommunications infrastructure in Singapore, an analysis of the Asian currency crisis of 1997, and a study of the worldwide automotive industry. He is fluent in Japanese and has also studied Mandarin Chinese. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their six children. He also enjoys music and is the drummer for the band "Spilbeedog."
