Being able to answer the question “What Do You Do?” is critical to being in business, whether home-based, online, or on-premise. And using a journal to write and re-write that 10-second response gives you the words when you most need them.

Now, more than ever, having a current and dynamic elevator pitch can make the difference in getting a job, getting a loan, getting ahead. Join Jana in this class and you’ll get the help you need to get started and a follow-up 30-min coaching session to be sure it’s ready for your first effort.  

Post-Pandemic pitches will need to be dynamic and concise. Also, you may feel you need to justify a job loss because of covid-19 protocols. You don’t! We’ll walk you through changing the terminology to a pitch using your resilience and dedication.

You’ll need to register and have a notebook, lined paper, journal, or digital journal to complete the course and have a pitch you’ll be proud of.

Jana Hassett
Owner, Jana's Journals

Jana is an innovative Problem Solver and Content Strategist who just happens to be in the business of Journal Writing. She volunteers her time to the Women’s Business Center of Utah in Cedar City because she is passionate about “Passing It On” in honor of those who passed it to her and teaching Women in Business how to write their Elevator Pitch.

She has owned and operated tourist-based retail businesses in Oregon and Utah for over 25 yrs.; worked as a project manager for a member of Congress, and has consulted/coached small business owners throughout Utah.

She has written book reviews for publishers, grants for cities and counties, a newspaper column for a hometown paper, and writes for 5 blogs through their 5 separate journals. She assisted in writing the Escalante City Historic District Plan and serves on the Board for the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum Foundation.

Her focus around Journal Writing includes teaching Women In Business how to use their Journals in their business and daily lives and teaching anyone who needs help in writing their elevator pitch.
